Christchurch based and servicing the east coast through to Southland, Drummond Drill and Blast provides a complete drilling and blasting service offering.
With a Sandvik DX800 and smaller nimble Atlas Copco all project scales are covered. Drummond Drill and Blast is a critical piece to the DXG footprint.

ROCK BUSTERS
DXG are proud to partner with Rock Busters as a user and distributor of a robust suite of expanding grout (chemical demolition) and mechanical splitting services, tailored for precise, low impact rock and concrete breaking to the New Zealand market.
Their flagship products ROCKX (small diameter holes) and ROCKXL (for larger diameter holes) are formulated to suit specific ground conditions (including temperature) and reduce drilling time, material use, and labour costs. These nonexplosive grouts, when mixed and poured into predrilled holes, expand over several hours to create up to ~18,000 psi pressure, quietly fracturing rock or concrete—ideal for areas where noise, vibration, permits or blasting aren’t feasible.

Orica New Zealand provides DXG with comprehensive explosives supply solutions for our work across the mining, quarrying, and civil infrastructure sectors.
Their services include the manufacture, supply, and delivery of bulk and packaged explosives, initiating systems, and blasting accessories.
Orica supports DXG with a network of strategically located depots, magazines, and Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU™s) to ensure reliable, on-site delivery and product quality. They also provide technical support, and digital solutions such as SHOTPlus™ and BlastIQ™ to optimise blast performance, minimise environmental impacts, and improve operational safety and efficiency.
